Men's golf heads back to Missouri for Mule Invitational

Three-round tournament to be held on Monday and Tuesday

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Concordia St. Paul men's golf team will head to Warrensburg, Missouri for the Mule Invitational Golf Tournament on Monday and Tuesday at Mules National Golf Club.

The Golden Bears will compete in a field of 16 teams with representatives from all three Central Region conferences. CSP will be joined by six other NSIC teams including top conferences foes Winona State and Bemidji State. Concordia and Winona State were ranked in the most recent Central Region rankings and will see five of the nine other ranked region teams in Warrensburg for the tournament.

LAST TIME OUT
The CSP men finished tied for fourth place with Winona State at the NSIC Preview with 604 total strokes (+28) after team rounds of 296 and 308.

Kurt Lambert led the Golden Bears with 147 strokes (+3), three off his career best and finished tied for 10th. Lambert was the fifth-ranked Northern Sun player in the field and has finished in the top-10 in back-to-back tournaments. Lambert was backed up by Brandon Sperling who finished with rounds of 72 and 80 for a two day total of 152 strokes (+8). The junior tied for 25th overall and was fourth in total pars with 25.

Thomas Huettl was one stroke behind Sperling (153), after rounds of 74 and 79 to finish tied for 36th. Hunter Robinson jumped up 22 spots to finish one back of Huettl with 154 strokes (+10) and tied for 43rd. Robinson tied for fourth in par-5 scoring at -3 (4.63). Ben Rasinski rounded out the team lineup, cutting a shot from round one (79-78), for 157 stroke total (+13).

The individual roster was led by Tommy Marker who moved up nine spots to finish with Rasinski in a tie for 65th with a tournament score of 157 (+13). Trey Timm had 81 strokes (+9) on day two, tying for 86th overall with 161 (+17). Sean Hickey finished just outside the top-100 at 106th with 166 strokes.
