OMAHA, Neb. - The Concordia-St. Paul baseball team (9-10, 5-1 NSIC) fell in seven innings to Minnesota Crookston (15-9, 5-1 NSIC),12-0, on Saturday evening at Warrior Field in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Golden Bears' five-game winning streak came to an end after dropping the first of three games between the two NSIC schools, as the Golden Eagles used 14 hits to plate 12 runs. UMC was also able to work seven scoreless innings, limiting Concordia to just two hits, highlighted by a Noah Juliar double.

Crookston used a strong pitching performance to secure the shutout victory. Starting pitcher Jake Dykhoff (4-2) provided a scoreless 7.0 IP outing with 14 strikeouts and only one walk.Â

For the Golden Bears, Korey Dahlberg (2-3) made his third start of the conference season, going three innings while giving up six runs on eight hits. The sophomore led CSP pitchers with five strikeouts and three walks. Logan Shaffer and Isaac Johnson combined for three innings in relief, giving up six runs between them while striking out three.
UMC jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning on a solo home run and never looked back. Crookston added five runs on four hits and an error in the third to end Dalhbergs day on the mound. The Golden Eagles put two on the board in each of the last three innings, capped off by an RBI double and sacrifice fly in the sixth to close out the scoring.

The Golden Bears will be back on the diamond in Omaha tomorrow for a doubleheader against UMC with games at noon and 2:00 p.m.
