ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia-St. Paul women's lacrosse (2-3) will head to Florida for three more non-conference games starting this Saturday at #15 Flagler, followed by a road game at Warner University on Monday, March 6 and a contest at #9 Rollins on Wednesday, March 8.

The Golden Bears are 2-3 through five non-conference games against GLVC opponents with another GLVC opponent, Missouri Western, being rescheduled to March 31. CSP also has one more non-conference home game against UW-Stout at the Concordia Dome on March 14.

CSP's trip to Florida includes a Saturday night game at 6 p.m. CST (7 p.m. EST) at 15th-ranked Flagler. The Monday game is a 4 p.m. CST (5 p.m. EST) start at inaugural program Warner University, an NAIA member, before closing the trip with a 3 p.m. CST (4 p.m. EST) at ninth-ranked Rollins next Wednesday.

Concordia will be facing Flagler and Warner for the first time, with first year program Warner, members of the Sun Conference, holding an 0-2 record with a 22-6 loss to St. Thomas (Fla.) in their first-ever home game before a 24-3 road loss at Webber International.

Flagler, meanwhile, is off to a 3-1 start and nationally-ranked DII program with wins over Florida Tech (18-6), #16 Embry-Riddle (16-11) and Lincoln Memorial (17-7) with a close loss to #5 Grand Valley State (14-12). Neither team will play again before facing the Golden Bears.

Rollins is 3-0 on the season and faces two more contests before entertaining CSP. Rollins has won at Lenoir Rhyne (N.C.) (10-9), at Limestone (S.C.) (13-8) with a home win over #5 Grand Valley State (15-11) in three games decided by five goals or less. Rollins will also play at Shorter University (Ga.) and at Young Harris (Ga.) this Thursday and Saturday before next Wednesday's game.

Concordia is 0-1 against Rollins, playing at the Rollins campus last season in a game that was contested significantly closer than the 14-6 final against the 8th-ranked squad.

On the season, Concordia is led by freshman Lauren Sheets who ranks sixth in the country with 17 goals while senior goalie Candace McDole is fourth nationally with 45 saves (7th in saves per game with 11.25).

CSP's top-five scorers on the year have been freshmen: Sheets (17g, 2a, 19p), Susie Monson (8g, 1a, 9p), Sydney Smith (5g, 1a, 6p), Kayleigh Nelson (2g, 4a, 6p), Morgan Haapala (3g, 1a, 4p).

Defensively, freshman Claire Flahaven has a team-high 11 caused turnovers and tops all field players with 12 ground balls, second to only McDole's 17 from the cage. The draw has been a trio led by Monson's 13 followed by Nelson and sophomore Anna Fisher with 12 each.

While McDole's 45 saves are among the national leaders, junior Maddy Huebner also contributes nine saves in one game as CSP has registered 54 saves, out-pacing their opposition by 22 saves and holding a team .446 save percentage.
