MANKATO, Minn.- The Concordia-St. Paul track and field opened the 2023-24 indoor campaign at the Chuck Peterson Open on Saturday inside the Myers Field House.
 
The Golden Bears will return to competition next Friday and Saturday for M City Indoor Classic hosted by the University of Minnesota. Action from the Minnesota Field House is to be announced.
 
CSP tallied a combined 21 top-10 finishes in the meet, as the men complied 15 top-10 finishes, and the women added six of their own.
 
On the men's side, Jose Nevarez-Ramirez added a third-place finish in the 800m, while Ted Carey matched the team-leading best finish in the long jump.
 
Cadence Tanner led the women with a team-best seventh-place finish in the long jump. The freshman added an eighth-place finish in the high jump in her first appearance in the Navy and Gold.
 
In relay action, the men's team of Vance Landa, Payton Peterson, Jackson Klocow, Arik Nikolas finished third with a time of 3:35.21. The women's team of Erica Padilla, Jaid Perry, Cadence Tanner and Karlina Zimmerman did not record a time for the event. RESULTS
