BAY CITY, Mich. - The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference (GLIAC) has announced the 2021-22 GLIAC All-Academic & Academic Excellence Teams for the spring 2022 semester. A total of 911 student-athletes from across the league received recognition including 53 women's lacrosse student-athletes, with Concordia-St. Paul featured with eight honorees.
Of the 911 total selections, 326 earned All-Academic Team honors while 585 were named to the Academic Excellence list. In women's lacrosse, the breakdown was 20 All-Academic and 33 Academic Excellence.
Criteria states that the student-athlete must be an active member on the roster at the end of the season, not a freshman or first-year transfer student. GLIAC All-Academic teams are comprised of those student-athletes that meet criteria and carry a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0-3.49. GLIAC Academic Excellence teams are comprised of student-athletes that have a cumulative GPA of 3.50-4.0. Grades are based on marks through the spring term of 2022.
