ST. PAUL, Minn. – This weekend, Concordia-St. Paul softball prepares for its regular season finale in North Dakota, traveling to Minot State for a Sunday doubleheader followed by a trip to Bismarck to face the University of Mary on Monday at noon. The games were originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, moving back a day due to the weather forecast.
Sunday in Minot has a temperature in the mid-40s at game time with mostly cloudy conditions, a minor chance of precipitation and a NNW 17 miles per hour wind with temperatures climbing into the mid-50s throughout the afternoon and higher wind gusts possible. On Monday in Bismarck, the temperature will increase to a high of 56 degrees with mostly cloudy skies and an ENE wind at 13 miles per hour.
NSIC STANDINGS
The Golden Bears (31-12-1 overall) enter the final weekend in sixth in the NSIC Standings at 14-10 with a 2.5 game lead over seventh place Upper Iowa (12-13) and a virtual 3.0 game lead over Wayne State (12-14) and Minot State (9-11). For the weekend series, CSP travels to the ninth and 13th-ranked squads in the conference as UMary is 5-15 in league play, joining the aforementioned Minot State.
Upper Iowa travels to Northern State (3-21) and MSU Moorhead (4-20) while Wayne State hosts St. Cloud State (20-6) and Minnesota Duluth (20-6) and Minot State will play Minnesota State (22-4) on Monday after facing CSP on Sunday.

The Golden Bears and Beavers have only met 17 times, with Minot State holding the 12-5 advantage in the series with Concordia winning three of the last five games and sweeping last year's doubleheader at Carlander Field (5-0 & 9-1). The Golden Bears have never won in six games at Minot State, last making the long journey in 2019, also being swept in 2017 and 2015. CSP is 3-11 against Minot in Northern Sun contests, but 2-0 against the Beavers in NSIC Tournament play at neutral sites, both occurring in Sioux Falls in 2014 and 2018.
