SERIES HISTORY: CSP 32, BSU 14
The two programs meet for the 47th time on Sunday with Concordia holding a strong 32-14 advantage since the series started in 1977-78. The two teams met 10 times between 1977-78 and 1998-99, CSP's last year in the NAIA before joining the NSIC, with Concordia holding a 3-7 record in its pre-Division II years when they were known as the Comets.

Since Concordia has been an NSIC and NCAA Division II member in 1999-2000, the Golden Bears are 29-9 against the Beavers. CSP is 1-2 in three all-time matchups in the NSIC Tournament and is 0-1 against BSU on a neutral floor, falling 71-70 in the 2021 NSIC Tournament quarterfinals at the Sanford Pentagon.

The Beavers have flipped the series in recent years, winning three of the last four contests head-to-head with two of those coming in the NSIC Tournament, and the other earlier this year at home in an 82-71 BSU win at Gangelhoff Center.

Under head coach Amanda Johnson (2016-present), Concordia is 5-3 against the Beavers.

LAST MEETING, JANUARY: BEMIDJI STATE 82, CONCORDIA 71
The Golden Bears dropped their third-straight game to the NSIC North Division in mid-January, falling 82-71 to the Beavers at Gangelhoff Center. It was CSP's third loss in the last four meetings to Bemidji State.

Concordia's interior play was strong as Lindsey Becher matched her season-high of 21 points and set a new season-high with nine rebounds (both marks have since been topped), adding two blocks and two steals.

Defensively, CSP held BSU's top offensive threat, post Rachel Heittola, to 2-10 shooting, nine points, five rebounds and was blocked three times in 21 minutes. She entered the game shooting 52.1 percent from the field and 40.0 from three, averaging 16.4 points and 7.3 rebounds.

CSP outscored Bemidji State 48-38 in the paint and held a 12-3 edge on the offensive glass for a 9-0 scoring margin with second chance points.

But the Beavers overcame CSP's inside dominance by hitting 45.0 percent from the arc, hitting 9-20 from three while Concordia was 25.0 percent from long range (4-16). The nine three-pointers tied a season-high against CSP's defense, and remain the second-most anyone has converted against them this year while the 45.0 percent is also the second-highest total against CSP overall.

While Becher had a strong game, Sydney Zgutowicz picked up her fourth (of seven) double-double of the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 6-9 from the field while adding six assists. Meghan DuBois had 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists and Riley Wheatcraft scored 14 for CSP.

Concordia trailed by 10 (66-56) early in the fourth quarter, cutting the margin to two following an 8-0 run with 4:20 to go to make it a 2-point game, and CSP was still within reach late, trailing 71-68 with 1:30 left before a BSU three-pointer pushed it back to a six-point margin with a minute to play.

Trinity Yoder led BSU with 17 points and eight assists.
