ST. PAUL, Minn. – Concordia-St. Paul women's lacrosse (1-1) will play its 2022 home opener this weekend, welcoming Quincy University (0-0) on Friday at 7 p.m. and #1 Lindenwood University (1-0) on Sunday at noon at the Concordia Dome at Sea Foam Stadium.

Concordia-St. Paul is no longer a cash-only ticket operation, fans can buy their tickets online prior to entering the Concordia Dome at Sea Foam Stadium. Buy tickets in advance and bring your QR code to the gates to skip the line! Friends and families who utilize the pass list will also be utilizing the online ticketing service while all students, faculty & staff will access their free CSP tickets through the service. PARKING & DOME INFO
Parking at the Concordia Dome at Sea Foam Stadium is restricted to painted parking spots. There is no parallel parking in any of Concordia's on-campus parking spots. Please do not use the snow-covered track & field throws area to turn around, vehicles must remain on the paved parking lot when turning around.
The Concordia Dome does not allow outside food or drink. Water is allowed, but please leave snacks, food and flavored beverages in your vehicle.
The Concordia Dome and Sea Foam Stadium is a pet-free facility. Please do not bring your pets to CSP lacrosse games.

EARLY SEASON RANKING RECOGNITION
The Golden Bears have now been featured in a national poll for three straight years, drawing "also considered" status in the February 14 version of the Nike/USA Lacrosse Top-20 Division II rankings. Concordia opened the 2021 season ranked 16
th in the Nike/USA Lacrosse poll and remained ranked in the top-20 the first three weeks before slipping to the receiving votes column in the March 15 poll. The IWLCA Top-25 Coaches' Poll, the default rankings used on cspbears.com, has not released an in-season poll yet following the release of its preseason top-25 on January 31.
CSP has been featured in both polls the previous two years, and has eight games on the current schedule against IWLCA Top-25 programs, giving the team a chance to score some nationally-ranked victories throughout the season.
LAST TIME OUT: CSP SPLITS IN COLORADO
The Golden Bears opened up the 2022 season with a challenging road trip to the Rocky Mountains, fighting the altitude, elements and strong opposition to a split in a pair of 1-goal games during a weekend in which no one led by more than two goals throughout either contest.
In the season opener, the Golden Bears went toe-to-toe with the ninth-ranked team in the country, a 2021 NCAA Tournament competitor Regis University. Concordia never trailed by more than two goals to the Rangers, and
Hailey Hartlage's goal with 8:49 left in the fourth quarter gave CSP an 8-7 lead and the teams were tied 8-8 with under five minutes to play and again 9-9 with just over three minutes left on
Delaney Davidson's late goal. The Rangers scored the game-winner with 2:50 to go in a 10-9 decision.
In the opener, Davidson and
Sarah Pierson each had two goals with Pierson leading the club with three points while
Erica Peterson also had two points off of a pair of assists. In the cage,
Candace McDole had a strong debut, registering 12 saves and a .545 save percentage while facing 29 total shots.
In game two at UC-Colorado Springs, a squad picked third in the RMAC, senior
Mary Keating scored the game-winner with 8.3 seconds to play in overtime for a 14-13 road win.
Molly Moynihan had a big day with a career-high five goals and added an assist to tie her career-high for six points while adding three caused turnovers and three ground balls. She scored back-to-back goals late in the third quarter to give CSP an 11-10 lead with
Hailey Hartlage netting another for a 12-10 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Pierson once again produced a three-point game with two goals and an assist and added four draw controls while Hartlage had two goals and a team-high seven draw controls. Davison also had a two goal game, her second in a row, and
Taylor Preece had a goal and an assist. Defensively,
Meghan McGowan had a team-high five ground balls.
Goalie
Maddy Huebner had a big day, giving CSP a pair of standout performances in the cage over the weekend when paired with McDole in the opener. Huebner saved 17 shots and had a .567 save percentage in 65:52 of play while facing 42 shots from UCCS.
EARLY SEASON LEADERS
Molly Moynihan has been the top offensive threat through two games, register team-highs of seven points and six goals. She also leads the team with four caused turnovers and is second with five draw controls and four ground balls.
Sarah Pierson is right behind her with six points on four goals and two assists while her four draw controls and three ground balls are each third on the club.
With a pair of two goal games,
Delaney Davidson is tied for second on the team with four goals and third with four points.
Hailey Hartlage's seven draw controls lead the squad while her three goals place her tied for fourth on the team in points and fourth on the team in goals. She's also second on the team with three caused turnovers and third with three ground balls.
The top distributor has been
Erica Peterson, who leads the team with three assists as CSP has eight team assists compared to six for the opposition.
Defensively,
Meghan McGowan leads the team with eight ground balls and is second on the team with three caused turnovers while
Maddie Westberg has added three ground balls.
GOALIE COMBO
Concordia's two goalies,
Candace McDole and
Maddy Huebner, have teamed up for 29 saves in two games compared to the opposition from Regis and UCCS with just three saves. CSP's goalies have compiled a .558 save percentage while their Colorado counterparts have a .115 mark, while CSP's net-minders have faced nearly twice as many shots (71-38).
ABOUT THE QUINCY HAWKS
Concordia and Quincy will meet for the first time in 2022, which will be Quincy's season opener. It's the third year of the program for Quincy, and they enter year three having produced a 2-5 record in the 2020 shortened season and a 2-10 record in year two in 2021. They were picked eighth in the 8-team GLVC Preseason Poll.
They are led by returning All-GLVC honorable mention performers Danielle Robinson at midfield and Kelly McClure in the cage. Robinson led the 2021 team with 35 goals and 39 points in 11 games, adding 31 draw controls and 16 ground balls. McClure played all 12 games in the net, registering 161 saves and a .446 save percentage.
ABOUT THE LINDENWOOD LIONS
The Golden Bears have faced the Lions twice all-time, falling 19-7 at home in 2018 when the Lions were ranked third in the country, and falling 18-2 in 2019 on the road with Lindenwood ranked fourth in the land.
They are the defending NCAA Division II champions with their only loss coming in the GLVC Tournament championship to second-ranked Indianapolis (12-9), who they had previously defeated late in the regular season 12-10 with UIndy ranked first in the country. From there, they reached the NCAA Tournament and scored four straight wins over nationally-ranked opponents, #10 Regis (14-9), #1 UIndy (17-13), #15 Roberts Wesleyan (12-9) and #5 Queens (N.C.) (14-12).
Picked at the top of the GLVC Preseason Poll ahead of UIndy, the Lions are ranked #1 in the country in both national polls and opened the year with a 16-4 win at Rockhurst (Mo.) paced by five different players producing two or more goals with Bridget Considine lead the way with three goals and an assist. Meredith Parry matched her four points on two goals and two assists and Paige Sutton had three goals. Emma Arnold added three ground balls, three caused turnovers and two draw controls and Lexy Biller had three draw controls and two caused turnovers.
Lindenwood used a pair of goalies, with Eleanor Kast getting the start and allowing one goal with two saves while Haylie Sims had four saves and allowed three goals in 15 minutes to earn the win.
