ALLENDALE, Mich. - Concordia-St. Paul women's lacrosse (3-5, 2-4 GLIAC) dropped its fourth straight on Saturday morning, an 18-2 loss at #9 Grand Valley State (5-1, 2-0 GLIAC) at GVSU Lacrosse Stadium.
Concordia closes out its six game road stretch next week in Missouri, facing #1 Lindenwood on Tuesday in St. Charles before heading across the state to Kansas City to face Rockhurst.
The Lakers opened play with the game's first five goals when
Molly Moynihan netted her first of two goals in the game. She now leads the team with 11 goals on the year. She added her second late in play with 1:21 remaining. She also added three ground balls and a pair of draw controls.
CSP registered 22 ground balls in the game led by
Hailey Hartlage with five, adding a team-high three draw controls.
Taya Schubert added four ground balls.
Maddy Huebner made saves against the Lakers' attack in the losing effort.
GVSU was led by Maddy Champagne's six goals, four draw controls, three caused turnovers and three draw controls. Sophie Conroy had seven points including five goals. Payton Neil picked up the win in goal with seven saves and one goal allowed in 46:12 of play.
