Seifert named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week

The senior brings home the weekly honor for the first time in her career

BAY CITY, Mich. - The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced the third GLIAC Lacrosse Athlete of the Week awards for the 2021 season, with Concordia-St. Paul senior Lex Seifert earning GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week while Grand Valley State goalie Payton Neil earned Defensive Player of the Week honors.

This marks the first time in Seifert's career she has been named GLIAC Player of the Week, and its the second time the Golden Bears have earned an Offensive Player of the Week selection as Seifert joins Alina Boyce who earned the nod on April 15, 2019 and its the third overall GLIAC Player of the Week honor, joining Katie Lottsfeldt who earned GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors on April 4, 2018.

  • Led lacrosse to a 2-0 weekend with team-highs of 11 points and seven assists
  • Dished out four assists in Friday's 16-6 win, one shy of her own school record
  • Racked up career-highs of seven points and four goals in Sunda's 18-5 win
  • Her seven points are tied for the fifth most in a single game in team history
  • Ranks second in the GLIAC in assists (9) and sixth in points (13) on the season
  • Her nine assists ties her single season career high from 2020, and her 13 points is two shy of her career high in 2019
  • Has registered 44 career points (21g, 23a) in 37 games
