UPPER IOWA SERIES HISTORY
The Golden Bears and Peacocks are set to meet for the 19th time in the all-time series on Thursday as CSP enters the contest with a perfect mark of 18-0 in the previous meetings. Concordia has dropped just two of the 56 sets overall while eight of their wins have come in St. Paul.

LAST MEETING VS UIU
Two years ago to the day on Nov. 2, 2019, the Golden Bears made it six straight wins with a sweep (25-21, 25-10, 25-15) of Upper Iowa at Gangelhoff Center.

It was an all-around dominant performance for Concordia as they controlled play in nearly every area in the win. CSP's block once again caused problems for their opponent as they tallied 11.0 total blocks while holding UIU to just 29 kills and an .075 hitting percentage. The Golden Bear offense finished with 46 kills and a solid .310 hitting percentage on the other side of the net as they also held a 5-0 edge in service aces.

The duo of Jasmine Mulvihill and Kennedy Brady played a major role in the strong play at the net as both finished with eight blocks on the night. Mulvihill added a team-best 14 kills as well as four digs while Brady hit .412 with seven kills.

Erin Fallert joined Mulvihill in double figures with 11 kills to go along with 15 digs to finish with her 14th double-double of the year while Tori Hanson paced the squad with 18 digs in the win.

LAST TIME OUT
Over the weekend, CSP claimed a home sweep of Minnesota State before falling in four sets at Winona State on Saturday.

On Friday, a dominant serving performance coupled with some solid defense led to a win for the Golden Bears as the team tallied 12 aces while holding MSU to -.020 hitting for the night as they limited the Mavericks to 19 kills and 21 hitting errors on 99 attempts. The 12 aces matched their season-best in a three set match while they held their opponent below .000 hitting for the second time this year.

Sophia Andersen and Riley Decker combined for nine of the team's 11 aces as both set career highs with Andersen finishing with five and Decker finishing with four. Andersen also contributed a career-best 16 digs as she fell a kill shy of a double-double. Decker added six digs. Payton Stier added a career night of her own as she led all players with 18 digs to go along with two aces.

On Saturday, serving played a role in the match as WSU finished with five aces and just two service errors while Concordia tallying three aces and seven service errors. The Warriors also came out on top with a 70-64 edge in digs as well as a 10.0-9.0 edge in blocks in the win.

Freshman Payton Stier set a new career high in digs for the second straight match as she led all Golden Bears with 19 on the day to go along with a pair of aces. Emma Schmidt and Sophia Andersen each joined her in double figures with 11 digs apiece as Schmidt added 11 kills for her sixth double-double of the season while Andersen fell a kill short with nine.
