BURNSVILLE, Minn.- Concordia-St. Paul junior defender Ciara Bailey was named NSIC Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league headquarters on Monday afternoon. 

NSIC Defensive Player of the Week
#6 Ciara Bailey (D, 5-6, Jr., Elk River, Minn. / Elk River HS) - Concordia-St. Paul 

- Led a CSP defense to a shutout and one goal allowed in a weekend sweep
- Added the game winning goal on Thursday in a 2-1 win over SMSU
- Now has two game-winning goals this season
- Played 161 of 180 minutes on the weekend, third most on team
 

NSIC Offensive Player of the Week
#36 Alexis Legg (F, 5-6, Sr., Ankeny, Iowa / Ankeny HS) - Augustana

- Recorded a hat trick, including the game-winner in a 4-3 win at Winona State
- Netted three goals on five shots on goal and totaled seven shots in the content 
- The hat trick was the first for AU since the 2017 season
- Scored an insurance goal in the Vikings' 2-0 win over Upper Iowa
- Averaged 6.5 shots per game with 4.5 of those coming on frame 
- Helped Augustana to tie a program-best with nine-straight victories

NSIC Goalkeeper of the Week
#1 Alyssa Stumbaugh (GK, 5-7, Jr., Gillette, Wyo. / Thunder Basin HS) - Bemidji State

- Led No. 6 BSU to a 2-0-0 week of NSIC play logging back-to-back shutout victories
- Finished the week with eight saves
- The consecutive clean sheets extended her shutout streak to 318:54
- Her 0.524 goals-against average ranks second in the NSIC
- Her seven shutouts is tied for second in the league
 


Other Top Performances
OFFENSE
#15 Allyson Smith (BSU) 
led all Bemidji State players with three points on a goal and an assist to help lead the Beavers to a 2-0-0 week of NSIC play. In two starts, she recorded a team-best nine shots. In addition to logging the game-winning goal in Sunday's 2-1 victory at Minot State, She recorded an assist on the game-winning in Friday's 1-0 win over U Mary.
#3 Kayla Alcott (UMary) scored two early goals to lead the Marauders to a 5-0 win over UMC in UMary's regular season home finale. She scored in both the 6th and 10th minutes to give UMary a two goal lead. She has 3 goals and 4 assists for 10 points on the season.
#5 Anna Tobias (UMD) scored two goals, including a game-winner, this weekend. She had the lone goals in UMD's 1-0 win over MSU Moorhead Friday night, and had the lone goal in UMD's 1-1 tie with NSU Sunday. She helped the Bulldogs to a season high four points. 
#29 Maille Mathis (MSU) scored a pair of goals in the Mavericks' 2-0 victory over Southwest Minnesota State, Sunday. She logged five shots over the weekend with four on goal. She played 101 minutes over the pair of matches.
#7 Allison Tharp (MSUM) scored her first goal of the season in a 1-1 tie vs. St. Cloud State. She scored the goal with less than 10 minutes left to tie the game. She is now tied for team lead in goals.
#15 Sarah Upton (MINOT) scored a pair of goals, the first two of her collegiate career, in the Beavers' 5-0 road win at Minnesota Crookston.
#32 Mia Zagorski (NSU) scored her first career goal to help lead the Wolves to a 1-1 draw with Minnesota Duluth. Over the weekend she recorded two shots, one shot-on-goal, and one goal.
#10 Annika Syvrud (WSC) had two goals and one assist in two WSC wins over the weekend. She scored both goals within two minutes of Friday's 2-1 home win over Winona State. She assisted on lone goal in overtime of Sunday's 1-0 win at Upper Iowa.
#13 Emma Chudik (WSU) led the Winona State soccer team in offensive opportunities in a two-match NSIC week.  She scored one of the best Warrior goals of the season on a 22-yard strike against Augustana University, tying the match at 2-2. She had four shots across two games and put two shots on goal vs. Wayne State. She logged nearly 140 minutes across two games.

DEFENSE
#6 Savannah Ellender (AUGIE) 
started both games during the week helping Augustana to a 2-0 record. She has been on the back line for all nine of the Vikings' nine-straight wins. She recorded 69 minutes in the 2-0 win against UIU and 89 minutes at Winona State. 
#23 Olivia Thoen (MSU) played 163 minutes over the weekend while starting in each match for the Mavericks. She led the Maverick defensemen with one point after earning an assist in the Mavericks' 2-0 victory over SMSU, Sunday. Took three shots in the two matches and landed one on goal.
#9 Kaylee Parsons (MSUM) played every minute of two games last week and was part of a defense that held UMD and St. Cloud State to a combined two goals. She leads team in minutes played this season.
#30 Shaye Taylor (MINOT) anchored the defense in a 5-0 win at Minnesota Crookston, and at home against No. 6-ranked Bemidji State, playing all 180 minutes this weekend.
#27 Bailey Deininger (WSU) played the full 90 minutes in both matches. She tallied one shot in each contest and was a key component in holding Wayne State to just four shots.

GOALKEEPER
#1 Jillian Barkus (AUGIE) 
earned a 2-0 record over the weekend with a 1.5 GAA. She recorded her sixth solo shutout of the year in the 2-0 win over Upper Iowa (has been a part of all nine shutouts). She has been a strong presence for the Vikings during their program record tying nine-straight wins.
#99 Ashlyn Waldon (CSP) earned her second career shutout versus Sioux Falls. She played the full 180 minutes on the weekend and recorded four saves and allowed only one goal. 
#1 Madisyn Waltman (UMary) tied the Marauders career record for shutouts in a 5-0 win over Minnesota Crookston. She has 25 clean sheets to equal the career mark of Kristin Werner. She had two saves against UMC and posted 5 saves in a 1-0 loss at #6 Bemidji State.
#0 Mackenzie Rath (MSU) played in both matches for the Mavericks' over the weekend. She allowed one goal in MSU's 2-1 overtime victory over USF and also had one shutout in MSU's 2-0 victory over SMSU. Had a pair of saves in each match.
31 Kayleigh Sedlacek (MSUM) had 20 saves in two games and tied a season-high with 14 saves in a 1-1 double overtime tie vs. St. Cloud State. She is second in NSIC in saves per game this season. 
#1 Maddie Kindred (MINOT) tied the school single-season record with her 9th shutout, making four saves in a 5-0 victory at Minnesota Crookston on Friday. She also added 10 saves Sunday against No. 6-ranked Bemidji State.
#1 Katherine Hageman (WSC) posted 2-0 record with one shutout n WSC wins over Winona State and at Upper Iowa. She posted her fifth shutout of season Sunday in 1-0 OT win at Upper Iowa, recording five saves. She allowed just one goal (in final two minutes) of Friday 2-1 home win over Winona State with seven saves. She had 0.48 goals against average and .923 save percentage in two wins.
#1 Yanel Ortiz (WSU) competed in her final match on Maxwell Field, concluding a solid Warrior career. She registered four saves, including a pair of stellar stops in the second half. She moved to 151 career saves, good for 8th all-time at WSU.
