WINONA STATE SERIES HISTORY
Concordia's meeting with Winona State on Tuesday marks the 44th meeting between the two schools all-time. The Golden Bears hold a record of 34-9 against the Warriors, including a very impressive mark of 20-1 in 21 meetings in St. Paul. After WSU claimed wins in seven of the first nine contests against CSP, the Golden Bears have rattled off 32 wins in the past 34 meetings. WSU's lone wins during that stretch came back on Sept. 19, 2015 and Oct. 15, 2019 as the Warriors won in four sets in both.

LAST MEETING VS WSU
Back on Nov. 22, 2019, third-seeded #8 CSP advanced to the NSIC Tournament semifinals with a five-set win (20-25, 25-23, 15-25, 25-18, 16-14) over sixth-seeded #15 Winona State at Sanford Pentagon.

Trailing 12-8 in the fourth set and 2-1 in the match against the Warriors, the Golden Bears rallied to win the final two sets to stay alive in conference tournament play. CSP was able to overcome 38 hitting errors in the match as they picked up huge points when they needed them to come out on top. CSP finished with a 58-48 edge in kills as well as a 72-69 edge in digs to help the cause.

The duo of Tori Hanson and Erin Fallert were a big part in keeping plays alive as they combined for over half of the team's digs with 42. Hanson reached 20+ digs for the 10th time on the season, finishing with a match-best 26 while Erin Fallert added 16 digs, 14 kills and four blocks for her 17th double-double of the year.

Fallert was one of three Golden Bears to register double figures in kills as Jasmine Mulvihill nearly added a double-double of her own with a match-high 19 kills to go along with eight digs and four aces while Kennedy Brady hit .417 with 13 kills and four blocks. Payton Nutter had 55 of the team's 58 assists while also chipping in six digs.

LAST TIME OUT
The Golden Bears head into Tuesday's meeting riding high as they extended their conference winning streak to seven with a pair of top-25 road wins over the weekend.

On Friday, Concordia claimed a four-set win at #16 St. Cloud State. CSP and SCSU went back and forth for much of the night with a total of 32 ties and 14 lead changes over four sets, highlighted by 17 ties and seven lead changes in a wild second set. The final margin of 35-33 in favor of St. Cloud State marked the highest scoring set in the DII era for Concordia and the highest score since dropping the second set 37-35 against Minnesota Duluth on Sept. 11, 2007. The two teams combined to face set point eleven times, six for CSP and five for SCSU, before the Huskies finally brought the set to a close to even the match at 1-1.

Following a wild second set, the Golden Bears stormed back to claim a comfortable set three victory before needing extra points in the fourth set to close out the match with a 26-24 set win.

The duo of Kennedy Brady and Jasmine Mulvihill provided the team with production both offensively and defensively as they both tallied 15 kills and six blocks in the win. Brady finished with an efficient .565 hitting percentage while Mulvihill added 13 digs for her fourth double-double of the season.

On Saturday, the Golden Bears rebounded from a 1-0 deficit and a 2-1 deficit to make it seven wins in a row with a five-set road victory at #22 Minnesota Duluth.

Heading into the fourth set with their backs against the wall, the Golden Bears fought their way back to claim their second come-from-behind win and first while trailing after three sets on the season.

Kennedy Brady played a major role in the block party as she matched her career high with nine blocks, the same total she collected in the Sept. 14, 2019 meeting with SMSU, while also tallying 11 kills to put her one block shy of a double-double. Jasmine Mulvihill chipped in six blocks of her own to go along with five digs, two aces and a team-best 12 kills. Sophia Andersen joined the pair in double figures in kills with 11.

Tori Hanson had a huge weekend as she totaled 45 digs (5.00 per set), including a season-best 23 in Friday's win at SCSU. Her efforts earned her NSIC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
