SCOUTING THE WARRIORS
Winona State University (3-5, 2-4 NSIC) will travel to St. Paul coming off a 1-0 loss to the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D. The Warriors currently sit at 10th of 16 in the NSIC standings.

Concordia-St. Paul last played Winona State on Sept. 22, 2019, in Winona where the Golden Bears earned a 4-2 win. Current Bears Cayla Renwick and Nikki Anderson each had a goal in the contest. The win moved the CSP win streak to three in a row, but they still trail 5-23 all-time.

Each with two of the Warriors' six goals, freshman midfielder Emily Chudik and senior forward/ midfielder Riley Harmon lead WSU in scoring. Junior forward Ellie Wardell is her squad's assist leader with four on the season as she also sits in 3rd in the NSIC for assists.

Freshman goalkeeper Alyson Jumper has started and played in all five games for Winona State this season. She has 453:17 minutes played and is in 3rd in the NSIC for saves per game with 33. She is also 4th in the league in total saves with a save percentage of .868.

Winona State has earned eight goals and allowed 10 in eight games played with a scoring average of 1.00 goals per game for the Warriors and 1.25 for their opponents. They have taken 104 shots compared to allowing 98.

SCOUTING THE PEACOCKS
Upper Iowa University (5-3, 3-3 NSIC) currently sits one spot below CSP in the NSIC standings at 9th place. They will face current 4th place Minnesota State (6-2-1, 4-1-1 NSIC) on Friday, Oct. 8 before traveling to the Twin Cities on Sunday.

The historical record between CSP and UIU is evenly tied at 8-8-1 since the two squads first met on Sept. 11, 2004. The last matchup on Sept. 20, 2019, in Fayette proved to be the only tie in program history with the Peacocks with a 0-0 final score. The last time they met at Sea Foam, back in 2018, the Bears took the 2-1 win.

On the offense, redshirt junior midfielder Katie Samuels leads her squad with five points (one goal, three assists). She is also 6th in the NSIC with 26 shots and 8th with three assists. Freshman defender Katrina Kazluski leads in goal-scoring with two on the season, both of which were game-winning goals.

Following the goalkeepers from UMary with six and Minot State with four, senior goalkeeper Natalie Rudrud is tied for 3rd in the conference with three shutout wins in eight games played. She has been in net for every minute of the UIU 2021 season.

The Peacocks have scored seven goals and allowed 10, taking 82 shots and facing 74 in eight games. They have taken four yellow cards while their opponents have accumulated eight. They have yet to take or allow any penalty kicks this season.

"Both sides will be competitive and provide very different challenges for our players to work through," concluded Coach Belllis's thoughts on the coming weekend. "We've shown recently that we are capable of creating so many scoring opportunities and need to now be consistent in taking those chances starting this Homecoming weekend."

Following Homecoming weekend, the Golden Bears will host Minnesota Duluth on Friday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. and St. Cloud State on Sunday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m.
