ST. PAUL, Minn. - This Tuesday at 6 p.m., Concordia-St. Paul women's lacrosse (10-6) will host Davenport University (8-8) at Sea Foam Stadium in the 2019 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference (GLIAC) Tournament quarterfinals. The game will be the first postseason appearance for the third-year program.
GLIAC BRACKET
The nine team Great Lakes (GLIAC) conference features a six team conference tournament and will be hosted by the league's top seed, #11 Indianapolis, defending GLIAC Tournament champions. The CSP/Davenport winner will face host UIndy in the tournament semifinals, as the Greyhounds and second-seeded #22 Grand Valley State each earned a quarterfinal bye. In the other quarterfinal, third seed McKendree will host sixth-seeded Northern Michigan on Tuesday afternoon with the winner facing GVSU at Indianapolis' field on Friday. The semifinal winners will play in the GLIAC Tournament Championship on Sunday, May 5.

Tuesday's game is expected to feature temperatures in the mid-to-upper 40s with a significant chance of rain and winds out of the east at 12 miles per hour.

BEARS ON FIRE
Concordia heads into the postseason having won seven of its last 10 games, including a pair of wins against Davenport. The stretch of play propelled Concordia to the program's first double-digit and first winning season while also surpassing last year's GLIAC win total (4-8) by three games (7-4). It included a four game winning streak, tied for the longest in program history. The 10 games carried a +52 scoring margin including three double-digit wins and three games with 20-plus goals. In the four game winning streak, CSP defeated the opposition by a combined 84-34 margin with at least 17 goals in each of the four wins.
SERIES HISTORY: CONCORDIA 4, DAVENPORT 0
The Golden Bears are 4-0 in the all-time series against Davenport, winning a pair of games each of the last two years against the Panthers. This year, CSP picked up a 12-9 win at home in the Concordia Dome in March and most recently topped them 17-8 in Grand Rapids on Sunday morning. CSP carries a +22 margin in the all-time series, but Sunday's win was the first by more than five goals. Concordia and Davenport will meet for the first time outdoors at Sea Foam Stadium.

Lexi Stanley has matched Heinl's 12 draw controls while adding 13 ground balls with seven and eight, respectively on Sunday. The team leader against Davenport in caused turnovers is
Kylie Christensen with six, adding seven ground balls.
LAST MEETING: CONCORDIA 17, DAVENPORT 8
Junior
Kailey Heinl scored the first two goals and Concordia never relinquished the lead throughout. Heinl tied her career-high with goals en route to becoming the third player in school history to eclipse 100 career goals. In a big all-around performance, Heinl also had four draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
After getting out to a 5-1 start, Davenport cut the CSP lead to one, 6-5, with the first goal in the opening minutes of the second half. Heinl turned it on for CSP down the stretch, scoring three times during a 5-0 run to allow the team to pull away with a 15-7 lead with 6:42 to go.

Alina Boyce (3) continued their in-season competition for the program's single season goals record, leaving them tied at 47 following the conclusion of the regular season. Boyce also established the new single-season points record with 63. Senior
Izzy Snow was an impact player off the bench with three points on two goals and an assist, adding a pair of ground balls.
Sophomore
Lexi Stanley was huge in ball control, securing eight ground balls and seven draw controls while adding a pair of caused turnovers and turning in a pair of assists offensively.
The draw was big in the second half for CSP in pulling away, turning a 6-5 lead into a near double-digit win. At the half, CSP trailed 7-4 on the draw before securing an 11-5 second half advantage.
Junior
Katie Lottsfeldt had 10 saves to just eight goals against, with a majority of those saves in the first half when Davenport used the draw to establish offensive position.Â
Taylor Ries led the Panthers with a hat trick while Ryann Deuel had three points (2g, 1a) and six draw controls.
RECORD/MILESTONE WATCH
- 100 Goals, career: Junior Kailey Heinl became the third member of CSP's 100 career goal club, joining fellow juniors Maddie Hentges (126) and Alina Boyce (105). Her six goal performance pushes her to 101 career goals.
- 200 Ground Balls, career: Junior Katie Lottsfeldt became the first player in school history to reach 200 ground balls, now with 207 after producing eight over the weekend. She's also the only player to reach 100 in her career.
- 100 Draw Controls, career: Junior Kailey Heinl is the first player to reach 100 career draw controls, producing six last week to surpass the mark, giving her 104. She also has the program record with 53 caused turnovers and is the only player in team history to surpass 50 caused turnovers in a career.
- Most Points, single season: Junior Alina Boyce has established a new program record with 63 points in a season, surpassing the record Maddie Hentges set in 2018 as a sophomore with 60. Hentges, now a junior, has 59 points this year and carries the second, third and fourth most points in a season behind Boyce's new current high.
- Most Goals, single season: Juniors Alina Boyce and Maddie Hentges have established a new single season goals record with 47, moving ahead of fellow junior Kailey Heinl's record of 43 established her freshman year in 2017.
- Most Assists, single season: Freshman Sara McNicoll's 18 assists trails Maddie Hentges' 2018 record of 19 assists by just one, while junior Alina Boyce has the fourth-most with 16, just three off of Hentges' record.
- Most Ground Balls, single season: Junior Katie Lottsfeldt already has posted the most ground balls in a season three years in a row, starting with establishing the record of 75 as a freshman when she was the program's lone goalie. She had 67 as a sophomore and has 65 as a junior, 10 shy of her own record.
- Most Draw Controls, single season: Sophomore Lexi Stanley has already pulled 25 draw controls ahead as she continues to raise the bar on single season draw controls. With 74 on the year, she's one shy of reaching 75.
- Most Caused Turnovers, single season: Sophomore Lexi Stanley has racked up 26 caused turnovers, just six shy of Brooke Genzler's 2017 inaugural season record. She's also five away from Sheala Osborne's total from the same year for second.
- Most Saves, single season: Junior Katie Lottsfeldt has topped 100 saves in a season three years in a row, starting with her record of 133 as a freshman in 2017 followed by last year's 121 saves. This year, she's compiled 118, just 15 away from her own mark.
