ST. PAUL, Minn. – Concordia-St. Paul head baseball coach Mark "Lunch" McKenzie has announced that Wednesday's doubleheader with Bemidji State has been moved to Veterans Field at Minnetonka High School with first pitch at 5 p.m.
SCHEDULE INFORMATION
For the second series in a row, the Golden Bears will make the short trip west to Minnetonka's all-turf field as Bemidji State comes to town. First pitch in the seven-inning first game is scheduled for 5 p.m. with the nine-inning contest to begin approximately 25 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

Live stats will be available to follow online, while the athletic department will also produce a one camera video webcast with play-by-play provided by Dan Flanagan. The Voice of the Golden Bears since 2008, Flanagan is a St. Paul native and a graduate of Fordham University in New York where he specialized in radio broadcasting.
LAST TIME OUT
Concordia picked up a mid-week split with Minot State in Bellevue, Neb. before dropping all three games to Minnesota Crookston in Minnetonka over the weekend
CSP was held to .231 at the plate while their opponents tallied a .295 average on the week. The Golden Bears pitching staff collected 40 strikeouts in 39.0 innings as four of the team's five starting pitchers averaged at least one strikeout per inning.
Cole Kirchoff provided a bright spot at the plate as he slashed .429/.467/.714 with three of his six hits going for extra bases to go along with a team-leading three steals.
Ryan Christopher hit .313 on the week while also adding 6.0 innings with no earned runs allowed to go along with six strikeouts in the win over Minot State on Thursday.
BSU SERIES HISTORY
The Golden Bears and Beavers have met 63 previous times heading into next week's meeting with Concordia holding a 39-24 edge in the all-time series. BSU got off to a fast start with wins in the first eight meetings until 2003, but CSP has taken control since then. The Beavers put together their best stretch in recent history from 2014-15 as they won four of five contests, but the Golden Bears have answered back by sweeping the season series in each of the last three seasons as a part of a nine-game winning streak against Bemidji State. At home, CSP holds a 16-10 record and at a neutral site they have gone 9-6.
LAST MEETING WITH THE BEAVERS
One year ago to the day of this season's meeting, CSP made it eight shutout wins in 10 games as they blanked Bemidji State in a doubleheader at Veterans Field. CSP cruised to a 9-0 win in game one before taking game two 4-0.
Concordia's pitching staff continued their incredible run with two more shutouts, giving them six in their eight conference games and eight in their last 10 overall.
Josh Gaworski and
Louie Varland matched each other with complete game shutouts as they allowed a combined seven hits in 16.0 innings with 17 strikeouts.
The offense came out swinging in the first of the two games with nine runs on 14 hits before the team scratched out enough to win with four runs on five hits in game two.
