Golden Bears back in the top 10 in the D2SIDA Central Region Poll

Concordia is tied for the tenth in the poll with NSIC foe Augustana

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Concordia St. Paul women's basketball team is back in the Central Region D2SIDA poll, ranking tied for 10th with Augustana.

The Golden Bears were last ranked in the poll before opening NSIC play, when they were also ranked 10th. CSP was ranked 8th in the preseason D2SIDA Central poll. Concordia has won 10 of their last 12 games and is tied for first in the NSIC South, helping them gain a top-ten ranking in the poll, listed below.

The Golden Bears are one of three NSIC team in the poll, along with MSU Moorhead (who they will play this Saturday) and Augustana (who they defeated 75-55 last Saturday). The Golden Bears also played Washburn (ranked 5th) earlier in the season, defeating the Ichabods 61-59 in the Central Region Challenge.

Two representatives from each conference in the Central Regional (including the NSIC, the MIAA, and GAC) voted on the poll. The top-ten was comprised of six teams from the MIAA  three from the NSIC, and two from the GAC.

The Golden Bears will return home to the Gangelhoff Center (where they are 10-0) for their next pair of games. CSP will face Northern State on Friday, February 1st at 5:30 before battling the NSIC's leader in wins, Minnesota State Moorhead, Saturday, February 2nd at 3:30.
