BAY CITY, Mich. - The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference (GLIAC) has announced the GLIAC All-Academic and All-Academic Excellence Teams following the spring 2018 season. In its first year as members of the GLIAC, Concordia-St. Paul had nine total selections recognized among the 85 lacrosse student-athletes honored in the seven team league.
Overall, including the GLIAC's eight spring sports, a total of 814 student-athletes achieved all-academic recognition with 382 on the All-Academic Team and 432 on the All-Excellence list. Concordia had five on the All-Academic Team and four on the All-Excellence Team.
Criteria states the student-athlete must be an active member on the roster at the end of the season, not a freshman or a first year transfer student. All-Academic Teams are comprised of those student-athletes that meet criteria and carry a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0-3.49. Academic Excellence Teams are comprised of student athletes that have a cumulative GPA of 3.50-4.0. Grades are based on marks from the spring semester.
