ST. PAUL, Minn. - Due to predicted cold temperatures and a high chance of precipitation, officials have cancelled the 9-State Classic hosted by Arkansas-Monticello in Bentonville, Arkansas this weekend. Concordia's softball season opener instead shifts to Emporia, Kansas where 14 of the 30 teams will square off at Trusler Sports Complex.

Concordia will now play four games against strong Division II opposition to start the year, although the opponent lineup has entirely changed. The weekend forecast has Saturday and Sunday in the upper 50's potentially reaching 60 degrees with 0 or 10 percent chance of precipitation throughout the weekend.

Concordia's game on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Turnbull Field (at Trusler Sports Complex) against Arkansas Tech will be streamed live by ATU on Facebook; and will also feature live stats.
