NEW YORK, N.Y. - Concordia-St. Paul football was represented with three selections to the 2018 Associated Press Division II All-America Teams as sophomore defensive end
Chris Garrett and redshirt freshman cornerback
Marcus Haskins were named to the First Team while senior kicker
Jonas Schenderlein was a Second Team selection.
Prior to Concordia's three selections in 2018, the program had just one AP All-American, Zach Moore in 2012 named to the Second Team when the award was known as the AP Little All-America Team. Moore was later drafted by the New England Patriots to become CSP's first-ever NFL Draft pick in the sixth round. He won a Super Bowl as a rookie with the Patriots, earning eight games of official playing time with one start and a strip sack. He's now in his fifth NFL season with the Arizona Cardinals, having a career year with three sacks.
Garrett and Haskins were Division II leaders in key statistical categories for their positions while Schenderlein was a repeat selection as a Fred Mitchell Award Top-10 National Finalist for the top small college football placekicker (FCS, DII, DIII, NAIA & Juco).
