BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) released the Volleyball All-NSIC Teams and the Concordia Golden Bears had four First Team selections and a Second Team selection.
Concordia matches its total of five selections to All-NSIC teams from each of the past three seasons, falling one shy of the record of six back in 2008. The Golden Bears also had five selections in 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2010.
#3 Brooklyn Lewis (OH, 5-10, Sr., Kasson, Minn. / Kasson-Mantorville HS)
- Two-time All-NSIC First Team selection (2017 & 2018)
- Expected to be three-time NSIC All-Academic
- Colorado Premier Challenge All-Tournament Team
- Ferris State Volleyball All-Tournament Team
- NSIC Offensive Player of the Week (9/10/18)
- Ranks eighth in NSIC play with 3.65 kills per set
- Her 3.82 kills per set and 4.11 points per set overall are also good for eighth in the NSIC
- Ranks third in program history with 3.70 kills per set in her career
- Enters the weekend 34 kills shy of becoming the 21st member of the 1,000 kill club at Concordia
- Has had double-digit kills in 22 of 27 matches, including five matches with 20+ kills
#12 Sara Macek (MB, 5-11, Jr., Monticello, Minn. / Monticello HS)
- All-NSIC First Team selection
- Expected to be two-time NSIC All-Academic
- NSIC Offensive Player of the Week (10/8/18)
- Ranks second in the NSIC in hitting percentage in NSIC play at .451
- Also ranks ninth in points per set at 3.98 and 10th in kills per set at 3.43 in conference action
- Overall on the season, she leads the NSIC and ranks 11th in the country with a .401 hitting percentage
- Her .401 hitting percentage is sixth-best in single-season history at CSP
- Has 10+ kills in 15 matches on the year, including 12 of the last 13 matches
#13 Elizabeth Mohr (S, 5-7, Sr., Eden Prairie, Minn. / Eden Prairie HS)
- Two-time All-NSIC First Team selection (2017 & 2018)
- Colorado Premier Challenge All-Tournament Team
- Ferris State Volleyball All-Tournament Team
- Leads the NSIC and ranks second in the country with 13.04 assists per set
- Has been even better in NSIC play with 13.08 assists per set to lead the league
- Ranks eighth in NSIC play with 0.40 aces per set
- Her 13.36 assists per set are sixth-most in single-season CSP history
- Her 0.31 career aces per set rank ninth at Concordia
- Has collected six double-doubles
- Has surpassed 50 assists in 10 matches, including four with 60+
#2 Hope Schiller (OH, 5-9, Sr., Anoka, Minn. / Totino-Grace HS)
- 2018 All-NSIC First Team selection
- 2017 All-NSIC Second Team selection
- Expected to be three-time NSIC All-Academic
- Colorado Premier Challenge All-Tournament Team
- Ranks second on the team with 3.26 digs per set
- Ranks third on the team with 3.05 kills per set
- Her 0.42 service aces per set during conference play rank sixth in the league
- Leads the team with 10 double-double on the year
- Has double-digit digs in 17 matches as well as double-digit kills in 17 matches
- Reached 1,000 digs in her career earlier this season
#7 Tori Hanson (Lib., 5-8, So., Delano, Minn. / Delano HS)
- All-NSIC Second Team selection
- Expected to be an NSIC All-Academic
- Ranks eighth in the NSIC with 4.49 digs per set on the season
- Also ranks sixth in the league with 0.40 service aces per set
- Leads the team digs per set and is tied for the team lead in aces per set
- Has a .954 receive percentage on 455 attempts
- Has double-digit digs in 24 of 27 matches, including eight with 20+
- Set a program record in the 25-point scoring format with 34 digs in a win over SMSU on Sept. 22
