Program is dubbing its first outdoor game the "Founder's Game" against UIndy

ST. PAUL, Minn. - This Friday at 5 p.m., Concordia-St. Paul (8-7) will host the University of Indianpolis (8-4) in the program's first-ever outdoor game at Sea Foam Stadium, an event being called celebrated as the "Founder's Game."

FOUNDER'S GAME
The Founder's Game tribute is the program's way of thanking all involved in the lacrosse community, CSP community and athletics/University administration for establishing the sport of women's lacrosse at the Division II level in Minnesota and specifically at Concordia. With a strong public recognition at the inaugural game in February in the Concordia Dome for CSP's 23-0 win over Northland, the Founder's Game will instead feature a halftime public address recognition in lieu of extended ceremonies.

Join the coaching staff, administration and the team following the game at O'Gara's Bar & Grill on Snelling and Selby Avenues for a final postgame social to celebrate the inaugural season.

ABOUT THE MATCHUP
The Greyhounds represent Concordia's fourth opponent and fifth game against the Great Lakes (GLIAC) conference, posting a 2-2 record with a home/road sweep of Northern Michigan and losses at home to Findlay and at McKendree.

The Golden Bears are 3-7 against Division II competition, also defeating Rockhurst on the road in their first road contest and first comeback victory.

So far the two teams have only played one common opponent with UIndy falling 12-10 at home to McKendree, a team that topped CSP 19-2 in Concordia's first road loss on the heels of the dramatic Rockhurst comeback.

CONCORDIA: TOUGH INAUGURAL SCHEDULE
The Golden Bears have played a pair of top-15 teams in the country in their first year and have played three of the top-10 scoring offenses in the country: Regis (1st, 17.85), Florida Tech (4th, 17.31) and McKendree (15.83).

CONCORDIA: ROAD WARRIORS IN YEAR ONE
Despite three rigorous road trips: the first a five state, 1700 mile bus voyage starting in St. Paul to Kansas City, east towards the Illinois side of suburban St. Louis and then due north to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The second a spring break trip to tropical Florida, where the team played four opponents across the state and the third to the Rocky Mountains for a pair of games against DII opposition.

Through it all, Concordia maintained a strong 4-5 record and beat a pair of DII teams on the road, a strong feat for a first year program that features 18 freshman, a sophomore and a junior.

CONCORDIA: PROTECTING THE HOME TURF
Concordia enters its final game assured of a winning home inaugural season with a 4-2 record at the Concordia Dome at Sea Foam Stadium. With the dome removed from the surface, CSP will hold its first and only outdoor home game at the stadium. A win gives the program a winning overall inaugural season and a strong 5-2 home finish, while the Bears still finish above .500 at home and .500 overall with a loss - a trait not characteristic of first year Division II programs in any sport.

CONCORDIA: AMONG NATION'S BEST AT CAUSING TURNOVERS
The Golden Bears rank third in the country with 12.87 caused turnovers per game. The team's three best single game marks on the year rank 13th (22, at Keiser, 3/14), and 19th (21, vs Westminster, 2/24 & 21, vs Marian, 2/12) in the country.

Individually, freshman Brooke Genzler ranks 12th with 2.42 per game while sophomore Sheala Osborne ranks 45th in the nation with 1.87 per game. Genzler achieved her high of six twice (at Keiser, 3/14 and vs Northland, 2/10) while Osborne matched Genzler's six against Westminster (2/24). The six in a game is the 22nd highest total in DII women's lacrosse on the year.

CONCORDIA: TOP-10 IN DII IN GROUND BALLS
The Golden Bears are also in the top-10 in the country with 23.20 ground balls per game with single game season highs of 43 at Keiser (3/14) and 41 against Marian (2/12), ranking 10th and 14th for a single game team total in the country on the year.

Freshman goalie Katie Lottsfeldt has been the top securer of ground balls, snagging 4.07 per game as an active goalie in the crease which ranks eight in the land. Her single game high of nine against Findlay (2/26) is the 12th highest total in a game in DII this season while adding a pair of games with eight (vs Westminster, 2/24 and vs Marian, 2/12).

In addition to her ground ball total, Lottsfeldt is 12th in the country with 124 total saves with an average of 8.27 per game which is the 31st highest per-game rate. With 100 total Division II teams, Lottsfeldt is off to a solid start in her goalie career, ranking near the middle of the pack (58th) in save percentage (.394) and goals against average (13.02).

Hentges (3x) and Boyce have the team's single game points record (7) while Boyce, Hentges and Heinl each have the single game goals record (6). Hentges holds the single game assists mark (4). Freshman goalie Katie Lottsfeldt has established the single game saves record (20) and ground balls record (9) while freshman Brooke Genzler and junior Kallie LaValle have the single game draw control record (7) and Genzler (2x) and sophomore Sheala Osborne have the single game caused turnover record (6).
