ST. PAUL, Minn. - On Tuesday afternoon, the Concordia-St. Paul women's lacrosse team (8-5) took off for the Rocky Mountains for its final road trip of 2017.
The Golden Bears will take on #15 Regis University (9-1) on Wednesday in Denver before heading to CSU-Pueblo (3-7) on Friday. Both games will feature a first draw at 5 p.m. central time (4 p.m. mountain time).
THE MATCHUPS
Concordia holds a 4-3 road record while Regis is 2-0 at home and CSUP is 1-2 on its home field. The Rangers started the year 8-0 before falling at Florida Tech in a 15-13 nailbiter on the road before topping Saint Leo 18-12 in their last contest.
The ThunderWolves opened the year with an 18-8 loss at Regis back on February 18 in what turned into an 0-4 start before defeating Oklahoma Baptist 19-10 on the road. They followed with three more losses but enter Friday's game against CSP having won two in a row, 18-5 at UC-Colorado Springs and 15-3 at home over Adams State.
ABOUT CSU-PUEBLO
CSU-Pueblo is a third year program, coming off an 8-8 overall season in which they went 3-4 in the Rocky Mountain (RMAC) in year two after going 4-12 overall and 1-5 RMAC in their inaugural year in 2015. The ThunderWolves are 9-12 all-time at home. Allison Wurscher leads CSUP with 53 points on 33 goals and 20 assists with Leah Neumann ranking third on the team in points (44) with a team-high 39 goals. The ThunderWolves allow 12.19 goals per game with its two goalies combining for a .409 save percentage.
ABOUT REGIS
Regis has had a program since 2008 and went 15-3 last year with a 6-1 RMAC campaign. The Rangers have a balanced attack led by Sarah Myres with 21 goals, 22 assists and 43 points while Erin Todd is third on the team in points (38) but leads the team with 30 goals. The Rangers only allow 6.9 goals per game, splitting time between three goalies led by Kenley Harrington with nine games played and seven starts in Regis' 10 games. The trio holds a .430 cumulative save percentage.

Concordia-St. Paul continues to feature an aggressive defensive philosophy that shows up statistically, as the team ranks second in the country with 13.38 caused turnovers per game and seventh nationally with 23.92 ground balls per game. In the 100-team NCAA Division II women's lacrosse program pool, Concordia also ranks highly in draw controls (26th, 13.77/game) and assists (29th, 5.77/game). Concordia also ranks 36th in scoring offense (13.0 goals/game) and points per game (18.77/game).
Individually, the top-flight ground ball game is led by freshman goalie
Katie Lottsfeldt, sixth in the nation at 4.23 per game, while also ranked 15th in total saves (107) and 33rd in saves per game (8.23). Freshman
Brooke Genzler is 10th in the country with 2.50 caused turnovers per game and sophomore
Sheala Osborne is 34th with 2.00 per game.

Kailey Heinl is 23rd in the country with 40 total goals and 42nd with 3.08 goals per game. Freshman
Maddie Hentges leads the team and is 56th in the nation with 45 total points. She's tied for the team lead and 70th in the country with junior
Kallie LaValle with 15 assists.
