ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Concordia-St. Paul softball team (11-22, 3-9 NSIC) returns home for a six game home span as they host Upper Iowa (11-23, 3-9 NSIC) on Wednesday, Bemidji State (17-10, 7-5 NSIC) on Friday and Minnesota Crookston (11-22-1, 1-10-1 NSIC) on Saturday.

Concordia began their six game road trip splitting their series with Southwest Minnesota State before getting swept by Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State. The Golden Bears are currently ranked 12th in the NSIC standings, UIU is ranked 13th, BSU is ranked sixth and UMC is ranked 15th.

Liz Jarosz had a terrific week for CSP as she led the team in batting average (.471), slugging percentage (1.000), hits (8), home runs (3), and RBI (8), and total bases (17) over the six games. All three of her home runs and eight RBI came against SCSU while hitting .800 against the Huskies.

Carlie Hart finished second on the team in hits with seven and third in batting with a .304 average. She tied with Jarosz for a team leading four runs scored.

Individually, Liz Jarosz currently ranks tied for third in NSIC with nine home runs. As a team CSP ranks tied for fourth in team home runs with 21.

In the Golden Bears loan win against Southwest Minnesota State, senior pitcher Linzy Heim struck out a season-high six batters and only allowed two runs.

In the all-time series against the Peacocks, CSP is currently 22-9. In last season's doubleheader in Fayette, Upper Iowa swept the Golden Bears winning 6-2 and 6-1 respectively. UIU has won the last three matchups against Concordia.

The Beavers and Golden Bears have met 38 previous times heading into Friday's doubleheader as Concordia holds a 33-5 advantage. The two schools met twice last year in St. Paul, with CSP winning game one by scores of 4-3 and BSU winning game two 10-2. The Golden Bears are 8-0 all-time against Bemidji State at Carlander Field.

Concordia has played extremely well against Minnesota Crookston holding a 34-1 series record. Last season, UMC and CSP met twice in St. Paul and once St. Cloud for the Kelly Laas Invitational to begin the season. In their first matchup, CSP won 25-8 in St. Cloud and in their final two meetings Concordia swept the Golden Eagles 11-3 in both games. The Golden Bears lone loss against UMC came back in 2002.
