ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Golden Bear soccer (3-7-4, 3-4-4 NSIC) team went 1-1 in last weekend's two game road trip. Concordia fell to very good Northern State squad by a score of 3-1, but then bounced back the next day as they shutout MSU Moorhead 3-0 for their third win of the season.
Jade Weller had an exceptional performance in CSP's win over Moorhead as she scored two goals and added one assist for a career-high five point game.
PINK GAME
Saturday's game against U-Mary, CSP will be wearing pink shirts during warm-ups in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Golden Bears will also be raising money on Saturday in a donation bin at the ticket booth. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
From the Coach
"Our game against Northern was a tough one, we knew it would be a challenge, and we had too many defensive mistakes that allowed them to capitalize. However, we were able to bounce back the day after with a good win against Moorhead. As for this weekend, U-Mary has put on a nice run lately winning their last two games so it will be a good challenge and they always give us a good game. Looking ahead to Sunday, Minot State has a couple of outstanding players and their coach always has them motivated and fired up. It will be a physical contest but like Saturday, it will be a good challenge." Head coach
Steve Bellis said.
