ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Concordia-St. Paul softball team (7-20) continues a busy week with a doubleheader at Southwest Minnesota State on Tuesday before taking on Minnesota State on Wednesday for a pair of midweek series. Both doubleheaders are set to begin at 2 p.m.
Concordia's wild week continues as they follow up Monday's doubleheader with four more games over the next two days. Last week's scheduled doubleheader with Minnesota State being moved to this Wednesday coupled with last Sunday's doubleheader with Minnesota Duluth being moved to Monday resulted in 10 total games on the schedule in a six day span.
CU will look to pull closer to even in the all-time series against Southwest Minnesota State on Tuesday as they hold a record of 18-22 in the previous 40 meetings. The two teams split last season in St. Paul with the Golden Bears winning 2-1 in game one and the Mustangs winning 5-2 in game two.
Wednesday's matchup hasn't gone as well historically as the Golden Bears have won 14 of 41 meetings against the Mavericks. Last season, MSU turned the series back in their favor with a sweep after CU won three of the previous four. Minnesota State took the first game 6-0 and the second game 8-2.
