Starkey on Macek: "We are very excited to have Sara join our program next season. She is an explosive hitter with a very live arm and will be a great addition to our offense for the future. Sara is relentless at defending the net and has great instincts reading opposing setters which is rare for a high school player. She has the ability to hit anywhere along the net which fits the mold of the style of middles that we like in our program. She is a high academic kid and a fantastic teammate and we can't wait to get her into our gym next season."
