ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia-St. Paul head softball coach
Bob Bartel has announced that next week's NSIC doubleheader with Sioux Falls has been moved to Thursday, April 3rd at 10 a.m. at the Savage Sports Center.
The games were originally scheduled to be played at Carlander Field on Tuesday, April 1st at 2 p.m. but field conditions and potential inclement weather caused the change of location.
Liz Jarosz enters the series riding a four game multi-RBI streak as she has collected 14 RBI in that span. The freshman ranks second on the team with 24 RBI on the season to go along with her .288 batting average. She also is tied for the team lead with four home runs.
Alicia Meiser comes into the doubleheader riding a streak of her own with two hits in each of the last four games and five of the last six to move her season average to .368. She is up to 16-17 in steal attempts and sits in third in the NSIC with 0.73 steals per game.

Kappes was dominant in the circle in her two outings this past weekend. She held opponents to just a .143 opponent batting average while striking out 19 in 12.0 innings of work. Overall, she had a 1.75 ERA, allowing only three earned runs. The highlight of the weekend came in her first career no-hitter in a 22-0 win over Minnesota Crookston on Sunday. She struck out 11 of the 18 batters she faced in the game while allowing only three base runners (two walks and a hit batter) in the game.
For the Cougars, Amber Walters has been solid all season in the circle. She owns an 11-3 record with a 1.89 ERA and has struck out 113 in 85.0 innings of work. She has appeared in 17 of the team's 22 games, starting 12 of them.
