GAME 2: LIU Post (N.Y.) 8, Concordia 3
The crooked number doomed the Golden Bears as the Pioneers scored all eight of their runs in three innings.

LIU-Post hung a pair of runs on CU with a two-run home run from Nicole Hagenah.

Navarae Honoroff got the Golden Bears on the board with her first career homer to lead off the third inning and Alicia Meiser followed with a single up the middle. The ball didn't need to travel very far to bring her in as she swiped second base, advanced to third on a SAC bunt and scored on a base-hit bunt by Jamie Fleischhacker. After advancing on a ground out, Fleischhacker stole third and scored on an errant throw to give the Golden Bears a 3-2 advantage.

Hagenah quickley erased that lead with a big three-run homer, her second homer of the game, to give the Pioneers the lead back at 5-3.

LIU-Post added three more runs in the sixth, including a solo homer for Aly Dzierzysnki, to bring to the final score of 8-3.

Kappes (1-7) pitched another complete game in the loss.

Honoroff was the only Golden Bear with more than one hit as she added a single in the seventh to finish 2-3 in the game.
