ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Concordia University soccer team (4-9-1, 3-7-1 NSIC) will look to make a late season push on the road this weekend as they travel to St. Cloud State (4-10, 3-8 NSIC) and Minnesota Duluth (6-8, 6-5 NSIC).

The Golden Bears are coming off a difficult weekend with two straight last minute losses to #22 Augustana and Wayne State. Saturday's match against Augie carried a lot of highs and lows as CU fell behind 1-0 early before tying it up on an Alahna Anderson goal in the 82nd minute. They appeared to be headed toward at least a tie until the Vikings buried a goal with just 1:27 to play in the second overtime.

Sunday's match with the Wildcats was another roller coaster as CU fell behind 2-0 early before scoring a pair of goals within 30 seconds just after the half to even it up. The Golden Bears couldn't get the go-ahead goal to claim a win as WSC took advantage of one of their few opportunities with just over a minute to play in regulation to knock of Concordia.

Concordia has delivered a balanced offensive attack this season as they have had nine different players score goals and five different players score multiple goals on the season. Taryn MacMillan and Alahna Anderson have been two consistent playmakers for CU this season with eight points apiece as MacMillan had collected four goals while Anderson has chipped in three goals and two assists. Both will look to up those totals over the final four games of the season in an effort to sneak the Golden Bears into the postseason.

The Huskies come in riding a tough stretch with seven losses in their last eight games with their only win being a 1-0 win over Wayne State. Last weekend, SCSU lost to U-Mary 2-1 on Friday before losing to Minot State by the same margin. Taige Thoreson has been a bright spot for St. Cloud State this season as she has registered four goals and a pair of assists to give her a team-best 10 points on the year.

Minnesota Duluth enters the weekend having lost two out of their last three as they look to secure one of the final NSIC Tournament spots. After a pair of 3-1 losses to Augustana and Minot State, the Bulldogs responded with a resounding 3-0 win over U-Mary. Maureen Stormont has been a force for UMD this season with 13 of the team's 20 goals along with three assists to pace the NSIC in both goals and points (29).

Concordia will take on Winona State in Winona next Friday before returning home for the season finale next Sunday at 1 p.m. against Upper Iowa.
