PUEBLO, Colo. – The Concordia soccer team dropped its season opener to UC-Colorado Springs 3-0 Friday night, despite outshooting the Mountain Lions 19-18.

In the second half, Agnes Arnadottir extended the lead to 2-0 at the 55 minute mark on a ball taken in from midfield.  She added another in the 63rd minute to put the score at 3-0.

Concordia started Kayla Kuczaboski (Vadnais Heights, Minn. ) in net and she collected four saves for the game.  Brittany Kapala (Fridley, Minn. )Jess Bianchi (Rogers, Minn.)  Taryn MacMillan (Eagan, Minn.) and Erica Landry (Mukwonago, Wis.) were all involved on the offensive end with each attempting three shots.

Coach Bellis said there were lots of positives to take from the opening game knowing they need to be more efficient in front of the goal.
