ST. PAUL, Minn.
- The Concordia University soccer team (3-7-0, 2-5-0 NSIC) lost a tough 2-1 game to Minot State (2-5-2, 2-4-1 NSIC) on a rainy Sunday afternoon at Sea Foam Stadium.  Concordia jumped ahead 1-0 before two unanswered goals from the Beavers gave Minot State the deciding advantage.  Concordia is now 0-2 all-time against Minot State.

Freshman Erica Landry got the Golden Bears on the board in the 17th minute on a loose ball out in front of the net that she put past the keeper from point blank.  The goal was Landry's second of the season.  Concordia looked to be headed into half with a one goal advantage before Chloe Melton snuck behind Concordia back line and put one over goalie Kayla Kuczaboski's shoulder to tie the score with just 49 seconds left in the half.

The Beavers gained the upper hand in the 54th minute on a beautiful shot from Kayla Schlittenhart from just outside the box into the upper right corner of the net.  Concordia had a golden opportunity to tie the game in the closing seconds on a header from Sarah Pieper that very nearly found the back of the net but was turned away as time expired.

Kuczaboski got the start in net and fell to 2-2 on the year with the loss.

Concordia is on the road next weekend with games at Augustana and Wayne State on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
