This Saturday, Concordia-St. Paul (4-4 NSIC, 1-3 South) kicks-off at 1:05 p.m. at Kirkeby-Over Stadium against Augustana (3-5 NSIC, 1-3 South) in Sioux Falls, S.D. in Concordia's final road game of the 2013 season.

The game will be broadcast live on cable TV on Midco Sports Network, which is carried in a large area of out-state Minnesota and in South Dakota. David Brown will handle the play-by-play with Kurtiss Riggs on analysis. Weather forecasts predict a 53 degree sunny day with winds out of the west at 10 miles per hour.

The game features two teams with similar season statistical profiles and results resumes. Augustana is 3-1 at home with the only home loss to Wayne State (10-7) while Concordia is 3-1 on the road, including a win at Wayne State last week (28-24).

The Golden Bears (18.9) and Vikings (18.8) have similar scoring offenses, and both teams are outgained by similar margins. Concordia gains 318.2 yards while allowing 381.9 compared to Augustana gaining 275.0 while surrenduring 340/game.

The teams have also played identical schedules on the season. In south division games, aside from the differing result against Wayne State, the two teams also differed on their result against Upper Iowa. Concordia dropped a heart-breaker at Upper Iowa (24-28) while Augustana downed the Peacocks 35-6 in Sioux Falls. The teams played the same north division schedule with Concordia going 3-1 compared to Augustana going 2-2. The difference came down to Minot State, who Concordia defeated 29-0 in the season opener in St. Paul while Augie fell 23-17 in triple overtime in Minot, N.D.
