KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Concordia (13-6) split a pair of five innings games on Friday morning. They picked up a 14-0 win against Wheeling Jesuit followed by a 9-1 loss to Ashland University.
Stephanie Kappes (Circle Pines, Minn.),
Megan Revoir (Hammond, Wis.) each their first career homeruns in the first game as
Anna Reincke (Mt. Clemens, Mich.) picked up her first career win in shutout fashion.

GAME 1 vs Wheeling Jesuit
The Golden Bears picked up a pair of runs in the top of the first with three straight hits as
Brynn Larsen (Oconto Falls, Wis.) singled,
Calli Brennan (Mendota Heights, Minn.) doubled and
Erin Tjornhom (Eagan, Minn.) singled. Reincke gave up three hits of her own in the bottom of the first but was able to pitch out of the jam.
Concordia scored two more runs in each of the next two innings on six hits all singles. In the meantime Reincke allowed just one hit and no runs.
In the top of the fourth inning Brennan, Tjornhom and
Bekah Roth (Shoreview, Minn.) had singles to lead off the inning, Roth's single scored Brennan. The bases were loaded as
Tessa Ewert (Hutchinson, Minn.) came the plate, passed ball allowed another run to score. Ewert would walk and then
Jade Ptacek (Sioux Falls, S. D.) had an RBI fielder's choice before Anderson singled home the fourth run of the inning.
The Concordia power as alive and well in the top of the fifth as Kappes and
Abby Foster (Waverly, Iowa) had back to back one out homers. It was the second straight game Foster went deep. After a groundout and a Ewert single, Revoir hit her first career bomb putting CU up 14-0, which is where the game ended.
GAME 2 vs Ashland
It was a much different story in game two of the day for CU. After a quiet first inning Ashland came up in the top of the second and hit a lead off home run. The next run would come on a two out single.
The bats stayed quiet in the third as all three batters struck out swinging. Emlyn Knerem had eight strikeout through the first three innings. She would pick up two more in the fourth as the game was 3-0 in favor of Ashland after four.
Ashland had a big inning in the fifth as a two out rally put CU behind the eight ball. With two outs and runners on first and third with one run in an error allowed another run to score. By the end of the inning Ashland put up six runs, five unearned, on five hits. Concordia picked up a run in the bottom of the inning but fell 9-1. Knerem finished with 12 strikeouts.
Katie Anderson (Mendota Heights, Minn.) had a hit in each game and has now reached base in every game this inning and has a hit in 18 of them.
