saginaw valley used a seven run third inning to break open a 0-0 game. In the first two innings each team only had one hit, concordia's larsen had a single to short in the bottom of the first. In the top of the third svsu used five hits and two walks to score their seven runs. The inning featured a pair of homeruns as the cardinal hit a three run bomb to open up the scoring and a nother three run homer to cap off the inning.

concordia got another larsen single in their half of the fourth and got a sami mattson single to lead off the fifth but that was about it for the golden bears. Svsu got their eighth run of the game in the fifth off a two out double to left.
