Concordia only had five hits on the morning but came through scoring four times. Sami mattson's 13 game hitting streak was snapped in the win.

concordia scored first, scoring a run in the top of the first inning. It was the 11th time this season that cu scored in the first inning, winning all 11 games. They are also now 13-0 this season when they score first.

A fielder's choice followed as cu gunned down the runner at third to keep runners on first and second. Two fly outs followed as cu kept the 4-2 lead.
