mankato, minn. - the golden bears (15-8, 14-5 nsic) won their 12th straight game on saturday afternoon as they won another game by double digits 67-53 over minnesota state mankato (11-12, 8-11 nsic).
jineen williams led concordia in scoring with 16 points on the evening along with 8 rebounds.
zoraa quoie had her first double-double of the year as well of the first double-double her cu career.

concordia also got great efforts from
jodi batzel who had 13 points on the evening, with a 6-9 shooting performance.
shandrell duncan had six points and eight rebounds in just 14 minutes of action.
maurika hickman added 10 points on the afternoon to go along with three assists.
rachel hansen had a team high four assists on the evening.
the mavericks opened the game by going up 6-1 in the early minutes of action, cu quickly fired back and tied the game at nine with 15:15 left. Over the next three minutes of play concordia went on 9-0 run to gain a 18-9 lead. The golden bears never let msu get within five throughout the first half. Concordia led by as much as 13 in the first half, leading 32-19 with 4:51 left in the half. Minnesota state was able to cut into the lead as they finished the half on a 9-3 run to close within seven.
msu outscored cu 11-4 off turnovers as the mavericks were able to get back in the game. Laura weber of msu led all scorers in the first half as she 10 points. Concordia was led by
quoie in the first half as she scored nine of her 13 points in the opening 20 minutes.
the golden bears scored the first six points of the second half, four by batzel as they increased their lead to 13 once again. The mavericks struggled to get back in the game but did cut the cu lead to as low seven with 13:36 left. Concordia scored 12 of the games next 15 points as they took a 57-41 lead. Hickman scored six of cu's 12 points during the run. The golden bears never let msu cut the lead under 10 and even extended their lead to as much as 19 at the 5:34 mark. Msu was only able to cut cu's largest lead to 13 as concordia took home their 12th straight with a 67-53 final.
the difference in the second half was how cu was able to outscore msu 22-6 in the paint in the second half alone. Cu also turned the table in the points off turnovers category as concordia outscored the mavericks 13-4. Batzel and
williams each had eight points in the second half for the golden bears.
concordia will back at home next weekend as they will face mary and northern state in the final back to back nsic games in the regular season. Currently cu and northern state are tied for second place in the nsic.
