The match was back and forth over the 90+ plus minutes of action. Neither team was able to gain much possession and scoring chances were few and far between. Olsen had the golden bears first real chance to score in the 33rd minute when she took a feed from arielle stimson (lakeville, minn.) and used her left foot sending a strike that hit the crossbar. A few minutes later smith almost put cu up 1-0 before her shot was denied by kenzie hanzlik. The score was 0-0 at half.

In the second half the only real scoring threat came in the final minutes of play when olsen did a fantastic job winning a ball and running down her own pass. She blasted a shot that sailed just wide of the post. The huskies almost had an own goal in the second half when a deflected cross went toward the goal line. St. Cloud state picked up the match winner at 91:12 in the extra period sending cu to the defeat.

The golden bears are back in action next weekend as they host u-mary and northern state at sea foam stadium.
