saint paul, minn. - the golden bears took on the winona state warriors for the second time this week and the result was the same, sweeping wsu 3-0 (25-21, 25-9, 25-12). Cu (14-4, 9-0) used a season high hitting percentage of .423 to do away with the warriors. The golden bears were led by freshman kayla koenecke who had 12 kills and hit .440. megan carlson had another double double with 10 kills and 22 digs, she hit a season high .526.

cassie haag and emily palkert each had nine kills to add to the total. Haag hit an unbelievable .750 on the afternoon. amanda konetchy had 38 assists in the match.

cu and wsu played a close first set, cu hit .281 which is above their season average but no where near the percentage they hit in the match. The golden bears held wsu to .178 percentage in the first set, it wound up being the best the set the warriors had all night. Concordia was on fire in the second set as they hit .500 with only one error while holding wsu to six kills and six errors for a hitting percentage of zero. Cu had an 11-2 lead early in the set and never looked back. The third set was closer, tied 9-9 half way through the set but cu went on a 13-2 run to put wsu away. In the deciding third set concordia hit .486 with 17 kills and zero errors. The golden bears held the warriors to a hitting percentage of .125.
