junior megan carlson (andover, minn.) had a big day with 11 kills (one error), three solo blocks, eight digs and a service ace in an all-around performance.
but it wasn't just carlson as two of her teammates reached double-digit kills as freshman amanda konetchy (left, victoria, minn.) set the cu hitters to a .413 team hitting percentage (39 assists) led by sophomore cassie haag's (plymouth, minn.) .600 (10-1-15). Haag also added a pair of solo blocks as concordia outblocked scsu 7-1 on the day.
senior emily palkert (excelsior, minn.) also punched home 10 kills while freshman kayla koenecke (delano, minn.) hit .538 (8-1-13), had 10 digs on defense and set up five kills to her teammates.
the defense was keyed by junior taylor fieldsted (lakeville, minn.) with 17 digs in just three sets. Fieldsted also was tough with her serve with a match high three aces.
the golden bears remain at home on tuesday evening for a 7:00 p.m. Match against winona state (8-7, 3-4 nsic).
