As a team they hit .333 with only nine errors on the night.
erienne lauersdorf had three aces, she has moved to a serving specialist recently and made it pay off tonight. kayla koenecke had nine kills and eight digs to lead the defense, she also added two aces as well. amanda konetchy had 35 assists on the night setting up the golden bears offense.
cu jumped out early on the warriors leading 11-8 at one point. Wsu came back with six straight points and took a 15-13 lead to force a cu timeout. The golden bears scored six out of the next seven to take a 19-16 lead causing the warriors to take a timeout to stop the cu momentum. The timeout failed to work as taylor fieldsted's serves confused the warrior offense and the golden bears forced another timeout leading 22-16. The golden bears won the set 25-18.
concordia jumped out early again in the set 12-8, forcing a quick wsu timeout. Cu kept up the pressure by forcing many bad passes off serves and took a comanding 21-13 late in the set forcing another wsu timeout. Following the timeout cu put the warriors away 25-15.
the golden bears jumped out early in the set 10-5 before the warriors got within two at 11-9. Cu scored the next three points to go up 14-9 and from then on out ran away with the set 25-15.
the golden bears will head on the road this weekend to face upper iowa, friday at 7 p.m. And a rematch with winona state, saturday at 4 p.m.
