wayne, neb. - the concordia university soccer team posted a 2-0 victory sunday afternoon over the wayne state wildcats reversing a 4 game winless stretch. The golden bears are now 4-3-2 on the season and 1-0-1 in nsic play. The wildcats fall to 2-6-0 overall with a 0-2-0 league record. box score

the game was scoreless until the 47:33 mark in the second half when roxy kashani scored on an assist from katie johnson to put the golden bears up 1-0. Johnson went on to score the second goal of the game. Johnson leads the team with five goals and three assists for the season.

the golden bear defense held the wildcats to only 4 shots for the game all of which came in the first half. Cu outshot wayne state 13 - 4 with eight shots on goal to wayne's one. kari janes led the golden bears with three shots.

concordia university will be in action again next weekend with two home games. Saturday, september 26 the golden bears host the minnesota state mavericks in a 1:00 game. Sunday, september 27 cu will take on the mustangs of southwest minnesota state at 1:00.
