Cu moves to 6-4-2 on the season, 3-1-1 in the northern sun. While minnesota, crookston falls to 2-8-1, 0-4-0 in the conference.
stimson scored the first goal of the game 2:51 into the first period on an assist from savannah nolen. From there the game became a defensive battle.
crookston scored their only goal of the game off a corner kick from a crowd in front of the cu goal at 27:38 locking the game up at 1-1.
in the second half the golden bears missed a scoring opportunity on a penalty kick taken by sara sather directed straight at the golden eagle goalie. Crookston goalie anna ogaard had five saves in the game.
stimson scored the game winning goal off of an assist from katie johnson at the 65 minute mark.
the golden bears took eights shots in the game with seven of those on goal. Stimson scored on both of the shots she took moving her team leading goal total to seven for the season. Johnson's assist gives her four on the season.
