The concordia volleyball improved to 6-0 on the season with a pair of wins at the days inn-denver west volleyball classic in denver on friday. The bears posted a 3-1 (30-24, 35-37, 30-25, 30-23) win over western new mexico in the game of the day and a 3-0 (30-22, 30-19, 30-21) win over the host colorado school of mines.
against western new mexico, the bears offense put up 81 kills, fifth-most in school history, while three players topped 20 kills in the game, led by freshman
emily palkert's career-high 25 kills, with only four errors in 33 attempts for an impressive .636 hitting percentage. She added seven block assists.

whiteny meierotto had her fourth double-double of the season with a career-high 21 kills and 18 digs. Sophomore
sadie kessler also had a career-high 20 kills, with five digs and three block assists.
maggie mcnamara had 69 assists as the bears had a .247 hitting percentage.
mary slinger had 22 digs.
in concordia's win over colorado mines, the bears defense held the orediggers to a .000 hitting percentage with only 21 kills and 21 errors. The bears totalled 49 kills, with meierotto leading the way with 18 kills and 15 digs. Senior
kate bennett, palkert and kessler each added nine kills in the win.
mcnamara had 45 assists, while slinger added 13 digs and
