Concordia (9-8, 6-2 nsic) used a 15-0 run over a four-minute span in the first half to erase a 16-14 deficit and take a 29-16 lead at 9:50 in the first half en-route to a 94-48 win over southwest minnesota state (4-13, 1-7 nsic) in conference action.

junior kelly lund paced the bears with a career-high in a golden bears uniform with 23 points on 7-12 shooting, including 2-5 from beyond the arc and 7-10 from the free throw line in just 23 minutes of action. Lund would also add five rebounds and four assists for her performance.

junior amanda behnke finished with her fourth double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds. She also added four assists in 26 minutes.

freshman kali olstad (right) poured in a career-high 15 points, shooting 5-13 from the floor, with 3-9 from three and 2-2 from the free throw line. Junior katie laviolette (left) was the other bear to score in double-figures with ten points and added eight assists, four rebounds and three steals in 26 minutes on the floor.

the bears shot 31-62 (.500) from the floor and 9-23 (.391) from beyond the three point line. They also shot an impressive 23-29 (.793) from the free throw line. Concordia held the mustangs to 16-55 (.291) from the field and only 4-22 (.222) from three point range.

the bears also showed their muscle on the boards, hauling down 49, compared to 26 for smsu. jessica tewes pulled down six rebounds to go with her nine points and two steals.

the concordia defense forced 20 mustang turnovers and converted that into 28 points. candace olstad had a team-high four steals to go along with nine points on 3-4 shooting, including 1-1 from three and 2-2 from the charity stripe.

concordia will return to action on saturday, jan. 20th when wayne state comes to the gangelhoff center.
