Concordia university (27-11) won the concordia tournament title as they posted a 3-2 win over msu moorhead and a 7-1 victory over minnesota duluth to improve their record to 4-1 in the tournament on saturday afternoon at dunning field in st. Paul, minn. With the two wins, the bears have now won four straight and are now 14-3 in their past 17 games.

in the second game, schmidt (left) earned the victory as she worked a complete game with nine strikeouts. She surrendered just five hits and a run after retiring the first 11 batters of the game. With the win, schmidt now stands at 14-8 on the year.
