The Concordia baseball team earned its sixth win in six tries on the season with a 9-4, 8-4 double-header win over Wheeling Jesuit Tuesday afternoon in Fort Myers, Florida.
Erik Quarberg got the Bears on the board in the first inning in game one with a two-run double and the Bears put four more on the board in the third on just two hits and five walks. Bobby Meier went 3-4 with two rbi and scored two. Quarberg went 2-3 with two doubles and Ryan Fixell picked up his first win on the season, giving up three runs on five hits and striking out three.
Concordia scored eight runs on 11 hits in game two with Galen Wetzell, Alex Kubal, Mason Reinhart and Andy Judkins each picking up two hits. Rob Maslowski won the game on the mound.
The Bears will play an exhibition game with the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday.
