Paul men's basketball played a flawless second half, using a 17-0 run spanning 4:06 within a total of a 30-6 overall second half run that spanned over 14 minutes in the second half en route to a 83-74 win to open northern sun play at minnesota state moorhead. The bears improve to 4-1 overall, 1-0 nsic while the dragons fall to 4-2 overall, 0-1 nsic.
in the second half, concordia shot a blistering 70.4% (19-27) from the field, 63.6% (7-11) from three-point range and 84.6% (11-13) at the stripe.

joey peel provided the spark in the final 20 minutes, finishing with 17 points. In the second half, peel buried four three-point field goals, two coming with the shot clock winding down out of a double team as the dragons didn't have an answer. He finished 5-7 from the field, 4-6 from three and 3-4 from the stripe.
off the bench, freshman guard
mike cunningham provided a spark with 14 points, seven in each half in a consistent game. He shot 5-6 from the field, 1-2 from three and 3-4 at the line and also had a pair of steals in 13 minutes of work.
seniors
kyle marxhausen (left) and
drew shepp struggled and were each held scoreless in the opening half but combined for 22 points, 13 for marxhausen and nine for shepp in a balanced and high-powered offensive attack in the second half. Marxhausen finished 4-6 from the field, knocked down his only three and was perfect at the line in four attempts. Shepp was 4-7 from the field and had a pair of blocks in 22 minutes.
marlon walker was the fourth and final cu player in double-digits with 12 points and six rebounds on 4-6 shooting.
the bears finished the game 58.0% (29-50) from the field, 50.0% (8-16) from downtown and 77.3% (17-22) at the foul line.
concordia looks to continue their strong start next weekend when they travel to bemidji state and minnesota crookston on dec. 8-9 for a pair of 8:00 conference games.
