The concordia men's basketball team suffered its first loss of the 2006-07 season at the hands of st. Cloud state 76-50 friday night. The loss ends the bears three-game win streak.

the huskies scored the first basket of the game and jumped out to a 6-0 lead, and never looked back as they led 35-24 at half time. Scsu continued the roll in the second half. They increased the lead to 30 points, 74-44 at the 2:45 mark.

kyle marxhausen and cortez fortez each had eight points to lead the bears, while marlon walker had a team-high eight rebounds.

for the game, the bears were held to 19-52 (.365) from the field, including only 2-9 (.222) from three point range. St. Cloud state was an impressive 28-58 (.483), including 7-11 (.636) from three point range in the second half. The huskies outscored the bears 34-14 in the paint.

the loss drops the bears to 3-1 on the season. They will travel to msu moorhead on dec. 2nd as they open nsic play at 8:00.
