antwon williams on a post route for a gain of 38 yards to the 39 yard line. Three plays later, goodchild and ruffin hooked up to put the bears back in front.
the defense held strong when it mattered most, stopping the wildcats in their tracks on two fourth down attempts near midfield - both with under 3:30 to play in the game.
goodchild finished the game 20-32 for 273 yards with one touchdown and one interception. The interception was thrown in the first quarter on the opening drive inside the 20 on a pass that should have been hauled in. goodchild was named cu's mvp of the egg bowl while wayne state's zach molacek earned the honors for the wildcats, rushing for 182 yards and a td with 65 receiving yards in the loss. The receiving core was led by williams and ruffin. Williams finished with seven catches for 105 yards while ruffin had five receptions for 95 yards and a td. Goodchild completed passes to seven different receivers in the game.
the ground game was led by cawthorn, who rushed for 74 yards on 13 carries with a td. The bears rushed for 153 yards as a team and are now 4-0 when rushing for at least 150 yards.

antonio brown and senior linebacker
brad scherer each added nine tackles. Brown also blocked a third quarter field goal attempt by the wildcats which proved to be the difference in the ballgame.
in his first career collegiate start at cornerback, redshirt freshman
karl collins added seven tackles and contributed to key coverage on a number of plays in the cu secondary.
concordia has posted back-to-back road wins for the first time this season after last week's 41-14 win at upper iowa. They look to continue their winning streak next saturday when they host bemidji state at 1:00 at o'shaugnessy field at the university of st. Thomas.
